Meteorology: Clouds, weather systems, synoptic charts & forecasts, fog. {2 CUs}
Collision Regulations: who has priority, where & when {3 CUs}.
Lights, Shapes and Sounds {2 CUs}
Pilotage and Passage Planning {1.5 CUs}
Safety at sea: MAYDAY, SOLAS regulations GMDSS, DSC VHF Radio, flares {2 CUs}

Tuition classes are a lively combination of instruction, worked examples and quick-fire Q&As using flash cards.

A particular topic can be selected in isolation for deep focus, or a range chosen.

As a guide, one-off tuition sessions are charged at 35/CU or 100 for 3 CUs for up to 3 students at your location. Discounts for larger bookings and larger student numbers.

Tuition theory classes are provided to a high standard by an experienced tutor. They are organised in Class Units, or CUs, with each CU taking 1 to 2 hours of direct interactive tuition . Homework can also be provided to ensure opportunity for practice of worked examples and consolidate learning.
